Confident In Christ

As David composes this psalm, his life has been full of oppositions and wars, but one thing David had was confidence in God, who was always there to defend him even all the way back to Goliath. Though some men had forsaken him and even risen up against him, like his own son, God was always there to be David's light, strength, shield, and rock because of David's faith, trust, and confidence in Him. We, too, can be confident like David was in that God will guide, protect, and direct us. He is our light in our darkest time, our shield during our spiritual battles, and our salvation during our trials. There will be certain circumstances that will happen throughout our day that we do not expect, but God will guide our steps, shine His light, and be our strength when our confidence is in Him. Just as David had enemies throughout his life trying to destroy him, we too have a spiritual enemy that wants to destroy ours, but as long as we remain confident in Christ, He will always be our Shield and Rock. Don't put your confidence in what this world can offer because it is only temporary, but instead put your confidence in Jesus Christ, who sees you and wants to be your Defender and Helper.

Leviticus 7-9 & Matthew 25:31-46

Key Verse

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

Psalm 27:1-3 (KJV)
