What a wonderful truth we have from God's Word that when we are in the presence of the Lord, there is a joy that He gives. This world tries to offer joy, but with a price tag of burdens, sorrows, griefs, and pain. The world's joys are temporal and add more weight to our lives that slow us down and pull us away from the Lord. The joy of this world cannot compare to the joy of the Lord because when we are filled with Jesus' joy, we are filled with His love, mercy, and grace. His joy is our strength because that joy does not rely on anything but the Lord's strength. Jesus' joy is an eternal joy that doesn't wear off or bring extra baggage into our life. As we daily enjoy walking with the Lord, we will be daily filled with His joy, which will help us overcome our lives' burdens and sorrows. Don't let the sorrows of life rob you of the joy of the Lord that dwells in you because of the One living in you. The more you are in God's presence, the more joyous of a Christian you will be. Enjoy the joy of the Lord because it is only by His strength that we will be able to endure and see victories in our life.
