Helping The Next Generation
The children of Israel were instructed to teach the next generations about God and all the mighty acts that He had done in their life. However, one of the saddest passages in scripture is that there rose up a generation who knew not the Lord (Judges 2:10). How is it that there was a generation that knew not the Lord? Sadly, our great country started with God, and now this current generation knows not the Lord. Someone dropped the ball and did not teach the next generation about the Lord. As Christians, we should teach the next generation about the Lord and what God has done in our lives, but if we want the next generation to follow in our footsteps, then we must set the example. We must commit our ways to the Lord as our testimony will help teach the next generation about the Living God.

Key Verse
For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:
Psalm 78:5-7 (KJV)
