Is Your Heart Prepared?

As David writes this psalm, he states that his heart is fixed, meaning that his heart is prepared. He was focused on God, ultimately causing Him to sing and give praises to the Lord. Our hearts always need to be prepared to sing and praise Jesus Christ because of our focus on Him. When we have the correct focus, we can't help but sing praise to God for who He is and what He has done in our life. Even though many things in this world can get us distracted and can change our focus, we shouldn’t let these things deter us from continually preparing our hearts. Don't let your circumstances change the state of your heart from being fixed on the Lord. Though Paul and Silas were in prison with their backs bleeding, they didn't allow their circumstance to deter them from singing and praising Jesus. We should not let our situations that we are in determine our focus. We should always purpose to have our hearts fixed on the Lord.
