But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.
When we think of the power of God, we might think about thunder, hurricanes, tornadoes, or earthquakes, but God's power is much more than that. God's power is unlimited. His power isn't just back in the Bible times when the Red Sea parted, fire fell from heaven, or all the miracles you read about in the Bible. God's power is just as real today as when He spoke the world into existence. God's power protects you daily, turns the hearts of kings (presidents and those in earthly powers), and brings lost souls to the saving grace of salvation. These are just a few things that the power of God can do. Some people might say that if God really had power, why doesn't He stop bad things from happening. There is a reason for everything that God allows, and sometimes bad things need to happen for our faith to increase or for hearts to be turned to him (Jude 1:23). God's power cannot be matched, and those who try will fail (Romans 8:31). Rejoice today in the fact that your God is powerful and not made of stone that cannot hear, see, or help. Your God saves, protects, hears, and conquered death and hell. You serve a risen Savior who has limitless power.
