Anchoring Truths from God's Word

Seeking Guidance

Often we have days that are terrible from the moment of waking up. When looking back on that day, did we start the day off by spending quality time with God? Now we will have bad days as Christians because of our enemy, the devil, fighting against us, but how much better our day could have been if we started it with God. The psalmist here in this verse wants to hear God's voice each morning to direct his steps throughout his day. We, too, need God's guidance throughout our day because He knows what each day has in store for us. If we have full trust in God to guide and direct us, then we will seek Him every day to lead us. We shouldn't just go to God when we are in trouble and need His help, but we should daily seek Him for His wisdom, strength, guidance, and grace to help us through each day. He has bought us with His blood and owns us (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), not like slaves, but it should be our desire to give our life back to Him for all He has done for us. Seek the Lord with all your heart and be diligent to put God first each day.
