The New You
What does it mean to be a new creature in Christ? If you have accepted Christ as your personal Savior, you now have the Holy Spirit living inside you. That person you were before salvation doesn’t exist anymore. In other words, who you used to be (in an ungodly sense) and the reputation you may have been known by is not you anymore. Sure, people may remember who you used to be, and they may even remind you of your past. Take the Apostle Paul for example. He was a murder of Christians. He thought he was doing God’s will by hauling born again believers off to prison and having them put to death. Then one day Paul met Jesus and accepted His gift of salvation. His life turned around completely! Paul began preaching and sharing the good news of salvation to the lost. However, Christians were still afraid of the apostle because of the reputation he gained as a murder of Christians. Over time t
