To Whom Shall We Go
God does so many amazing things in our life. He blesses us each day, protects us, He's merciful and gracious towards us, forgives our sins when we ask, and leads us through our life. Yet despite all God does for us, we immediately forget everything He has done for us when something terrible happens in our life, or when we go through a trial. It's sad to say, but sometimes God isn't on our minds first nor the first person we turn to for help. We can look in the Bible at the Israelites as God, time and time again, did mighty things in their life, yet they still turned their backs on Him. In this verse, when Christ asked if Peter was going to forsake Him, as many have done, he replied, "to whom shall we go?" Who is going to give eternal life, comfort, help, joy, and happiness like Jesus? If we believe that God can do anything, then why do we go to Him last after we tried everything else? God is the answer to all our problems, and He wants to help us.
